Samitivej International Children's Hospital

Thailand's only private hospital built entirely for children, opened in March 2025 on the Samitivej Srinakarin campus. Eight floors and 111 beds, with private PICU and NICU rooms, a hybrid operating theatre for minimally invasive surgery, and separate air handling for infectious and non-infectious zones. The paediatric emergency department runs 24 hours with its own paediatricians rather than adult emergency doctors covering children, and there is a paediatric ground and air transport service. For a seriously ill child this is the most capable private facility in the city.
Worth knowing
The location is the catch and it is a real one. From most of the international school corridor this is a long drive, and in the wrong traffic it is a very long drive, which is worth thinking through now rather than in an emergency. The trade is simple: Sukhumvit for convenience and routine care, Srinakarin when it is serious. Families in Bang Na, On Nut and the eastern suburbs get the best of it.
