This is a public hospital and it runs like one: long waits, limited English, and a referral-led system that is hard to navigate as a walk-in foreigner. It is not a substitute for a private paediatrician for everyday illness. It is where you may end up, via referral, for something genuinely rare, and the expertise there is real.
