Bangkok Nursing Home opened in 1898 and is the oldest private hospital in Thailand, which shows in the best way: it is small, personal and unhurried in a city where private healthcare often is not. The maternity service is its best known offering among expat families, and the draw is continuity, you see the same obstetrician through the pregnancy and that person delivers you. For families in Silom and Sathorn it is also simply the nearest good option.
Worth knowing
BNH does not publish delivery package prices, so you will need to call the Women's Health Centre for a quote. Being small cuts both ways: the experience is more personal than the big international hospitals, but the range of paediatric sub-specialists is narrower, and a complex case may be referred on. Excellent for a straightforward pregnancy and routine family care, less so as a one-stop hospital for everything.
